Skylar Rae is a variety of sweet, crisp cherries known for their high sugar content (23-25 Brix) and golden-red skin. They were discovered by chance in a Washington orchard in 2004 and named after the infant daughter of the orchard owners. While originally discovered in the US, they are now grown in other countries like Chile and Australia. They are typically available for a short window, from early June to early July.
